EQUESTRIAN VICTORY

Writer: The BZ TeamThe BZ Team

Do you know what the word 'equestrian' refers to? Well, let's teach you something;)...

So, now you know, right?

And why is this word so important today? Well, it's because we have yet another champion in our ranks - the amazing Audrey Lisica, our Year 8 friend who rides like the wind to victory!

This is what she succeeded in last weekend!

The competition was in Gorla Minore, Italy. It was an International show CSI1*. The countries Audrey was competing against were France, Romania, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy. The class she won was an Accumulator class.  You accumulate points for every clear jump and at the last fence you can choose between the joker jump or a normal jump.  The joker is worth twice as many points because it is much higher. They play the National Anthem for the country of the first place rider and everyone stands.

And Audrey - WON!

She has been riding her horse Mirabell for 2 years and started riding about 5 years ago. It is an absolutely amazing kind of a relationship between a rider and the horse! If you see Audrey around school, make sure you congratulate her on her success and ask her about Mirabell - it will surely bring a smile to her face!

Fantastic work, dear Audrey! Keep it up!
